Why did you join BWN and what do you love about it?

I joined BWN as I like meeting other working women, whether it be women running their own business or women working for a local business. I like the diversity of the group and I love hearing other women's stories and we all have our own story to tell.

How do you define success?

Everyone's definition of success is different. For me it is seeing my 22 year old and 18 year old navigating life as caring and nice human beings. As a parent that is success. Being married for 26 years, always being employed, having overseas holidays, enjoying my sister and brothers company, buying a new house, having my parents still alive... all those things are success and I don't think you can define success as one thing. Being healthy and happy I'm sure helps contribute to making successful choices.

Which local women inspire you and why?

Amanda from Sugar Plum Cakes she has always loved cooking and turned her passion into a successful business. Not many of us get to go to work everyday and do the thing we are absolutely passionate about. Amy Barrett from Choc Daisy - who took a leap of faith and opened the raw bar again living her dream job. Pandora from Pandora's setting up her own Vegan Cooking School and educating her local community on the benefits of Veganism. I know it is all food... but these women inspire me as they have been successful in turning their hobby into a successful business.

What's the best piece of advice you can give our audience?

Find your tribe, your girlfriends are as important as family, be there for them and they will be there for you.

What is your superpower?

I actually love SPIN Class.

What do you love most about what you do?

I get to work with people from all walks of life; community groups, councils, businesses, pilots, engineers, Op Shop volunteers so every day is different. When I meet past patients who would haven not survived had it not been for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter it is very humbling and keeps it real. Working for an organisation who provides a life saving service to the community, doesn't get much better.
