Alison Gordon

Alison Gordon spent 17 years in the Australian Army and a decade leading polar expeditions before turning her attention to what was sitting in her dog's bowl.

That combination of discipline, environmental exposure and an very opinionated Malinois named Max led her to found Feed For Thought, an Australian dog food brand built around black soldier fly larvae as a sustainable, novel protein source.

The product was developed over two years alongside vets and animal nutritionists, and is now helping dogs with protein allergies eat well while quietly doing less damage to the planet.

Alison runs the business from the ground up, across everything from logistics and operations to marketing, from Sawtell, where she lives with her partner, toddler and of course, Max the dog.
