Implications of the NBN seminar series
In response to community and industry requests for more information regarding the implications of the NBN rollout for the Coffs Harbour Region, Professor Peter Croll, Regional Futures Institute, SCU will be holding information seminars in Coffs Harbour.
The seminars will include an information session for participants to understand how broadband technology can be used to manage and inform their lives, communities and industries.

Community Consultation (2-4pm)
This two hour seminar is designed to enable participants to understand the implications and benefits of the NBN rollout as it applies to them both personally and for the community as a whole. Specific topics will include how the NBN can be utilised in terms of health care, education, industry, environmental issues including sustainability and social inclusion. The format will be interactive, including a mix of presentations, video demonstrations and an opportunity for the audience to ask questions to a panel of key stakeholders. The event is open to the public. There is no need to registration your attendance in advance.
Business and Industry Consultation (5:15-7:15pm)
This seminar is specifically tailored for businesses to gain a better understanding of the implications and benefits of the NBN rollout as it applies to industry. Discussion points will include how the technology can enable new business opportunities, what the technology may mean for industry opportunities, as well as discuss the coordination of the roll out of the NBN.
The format will has been designed to provide a variety of perspectives to the audience, including case studies of businesses that are currently using NBN equivalent technologies. The audience will have the opportunity to engage with all speakers to discuss concerns, questions and opportunities. The event is open to all, but specifically tailored to the business community. There is no need to registration your attendance in advance.
