Heartfelt thanks from Past President Annie

Thank you to all my darling friends in BWN for the delicious dinners, desserts & fruit boxes delivered to home, the bouquets of flowers, gift hampers, all the cards, emails and texts. My diagnosis of Breast Cancer in early December last year was the single most stressful experience in my 38 years. Finding out (post-surgery) it had not spread throughout my body, the most relieving experience ever! The champagne flowed that afternoon!

If those at the February 2010 BWN Breakfast wondered why for THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I did not grab the microphone and express my thanks personally, I would not have been able to speak without breaking down and crying like a baby. And no one wants that at 7am!

Thank you for the wonderful practical, real and heartfelt gestures. You are truly all very, very ‘Breast Friends’.
